SED2 learning about our football link with Bilboa
Whilst in Spain I got talking to a Spanish bloke who came to talk to us as we were wearing SAFC shirts.
He was telling us that Bilbao was formed by a former Shipyard Worker from Sunderland and this is why Bilbao play in Red & White and a ship also appears on previous club badges. He also stated that because of this link a lot of Bilbao fans support SAFC as their "English" Team - not something I was aware of. The Bloke I was talking to knew a lot about SAFC (History, Players Past and Present etc, Roker park, SOL etc..)
